WorkForm submission editing

Enable editing of existing WorkForm submissions and subitem question type

For Enterprise users, WorkForms now supports editing of existing submissions. After a respondent submits a form, a unique link is generated in a column. You can share it manually or automate it so users can edit their entries later. Also new is the WorkForms subitem question type, which routes certain form responses into subitems under the main item on your board. This helps you keep related data structured without crowding the main item fields.

Custom key with item ID

Make identifiers unique to your team with custom key item ID

You can now create a custom key from the existing Item ID column settings. This allows department-, team-, or board-specific identifier formats rather than a generic numeric ID.

Reorder and pinning views

Reorder and pin views for your team in board views

Board views are now more flexible. Team members can drag and drop the order of views to match their personal workflow. Additionally, you can pin views so they stay prominently visible for all team members, ensuring key views are never lost in the tabs.

API analytics dashboard

Track usage, trends, and capping in a API analytics dashboard

Enterprise accounts get access to a new API analytics dashboard, surfaced in both the Admin panel and Developer Center. You can track real-time API calls, monitor daily usage trends, and see which users and apps are consuming the most.

Practical tips

How to use these monday.com updates

Here are a few suggestions to make the most of these new tools in your workspace:

  1. Enable submission editing thoughtfully. If you allow respondents to edit their submissions later, design controls or thresholds so data integrity isn’t compromised. Use automations to gate changes when needed.
  2. Adopt custom keys for clarity. Use custom key IDs especially in cross-board or cross-team settings, e.g. “HR-1234” or “DEV-5678” so people immediately know item context.
  3. Reorder and pin views for consistency. Ask your team which views matter most (e.g. Gantt, Board, Calendar) and pin them so all members see the same primary layout.
  4. Watch your API usage proactively. Use the analytics dashboard to spot spikes or misuse. If one app or user makes excessive calls, adjust or throttle them before reaching a limit.

March 2025 releases bring more flexibility and insight to your monday.com workflows. With WorkForms editing and subitem routing, your forms become smarter and more adaptable. Custom key item IDs lend context to your records. Reorderable and pinnable views give teams control over how they see data. And with the API analytics dashboard, enterprise accounts gain transparency over integrations and usage.
