More control for clients directly inside the portal to update board items

Allowing clients to interact with their own data inside the portal is a key part of building a collaborative workspace. With this update, item editing capabilities inside the monday.com client portal have been expanded to give clients more flexibility and control.

Clients can now edit items directly within Client Item sections and within Board Table subitems. Instead of routing every change through internal teams, clients can update relevant information themselves in the context where it appears. This reduces manual coordination and supports more efficient workflows between teams and their clients.

Other improvements

More improvements in this update

This update also introduced improvements to comment visibility and domain handling. Item comments now display the login method name of the commenter, providing clearer context around activity. The new comment indicator has been refined to make updates easier to identify. In addition, portals using a custom domain can now automatically redirect the default portal subdomain to the branded domain, and client session duration has been extended to support longer working sessions.
