File preview directly inside your monday.com Client Portal

Clients no longer need to download files to review them. With the new file preview feature, images, videos, and PDFs can now be viewed directly inside monday.com Client Portals.

Preview files without leaving the portal

Sharing files with clients is a core part of many workflows. With this update, clients can now preview images, videos, and PDF files directly inside the monday.com Client Portal without needing to download them first. Instead of interrupting their workflow, clients can open files in a built-in viewer and review content instantly. This creates a smoother experience and reduces friction when collaborating on documents, visual assets, or other shared materials.

File preview can be controlled at the column level. In your column settings, you can decide whether file previews should be enabled, giving you flexibility depending on how each board is structured. By keeping file access inside the portal, the overall client experience becomes more seamless and professional.

Combining the File preview feature along with Action buttons, you can create file review workflows to let clients accept or reject certain documents for example.

More improvements in this update

This update also introduces a new Admin View, giving administrators a centralized overview to manage all portals across their account. In addition, optional caching can now be enabled in portal settings to improve load times and maintain responsive performance, especially for portals with larger datasets.
