Overview

Multiple app views for different use cases

The Client Portal Builder app gets shipped with several app views. These views must be added manually around different places within your monday.com workspace. Some views are required for the portal to function, while others support optional communication or administration.

Required views

Mandatory views to make everything work

Client Portal Builder Board view

Create, manage, and publish your client portal in the Client Portal Builder board view. This board view is used to build portal pages, configure content, and control what is shown to clients. Add this view next to your Clients Board main table.

Client Settings Item view

Manage login credentials and connect dedicated boards for each client in the Client Settings item view. This item view is used to define access and link client-specific data sources. Add this view to one item of your Clients Board.

Optional views

Add these views for specific features

Client Comments Item view

Write and reply to client comments and messages in the Client Comments item view. Use this view if you want to manage communication between your team and your clients. Add this view to one item on a connected board where the Item Comments feature is enabled. Or add it to your Clients Board item if you want to use the Client Inbox feature.

Client Portal Admin Admin view

Manage all client portals created in your account in the Client Portal Admin view. Use this view for oversight and administrative control across portals that have been created on your monday.com account. Add this view to Admin apps inside the monday account administration.
