How to create board sources and use them in monday.com portals

Board sources are the technical concept behind any Board Table or Board Grid section that is connected to a board in your monday.com workspace. The board source type defines its configuration during the board setup when adding a new board-based content section to a portal page while building your client portal.

How to edit a board source

  1. Navigate to the board section
  2. Click the ⚙ Linked to ... button
  3. Edit the board source type related fields
  4. Save the changes

Did you know?

When using a Clients Board related board source, the button is disabled by design since such board sources are not editable. This applies to Subitems and Client Item sections.

  1. Have any portal page open
  2. Click the … button in the top right
  3. Click Board sources in the dialog
  4. Find all board sources in use or not in use
